Edmund Iverson, 80, Minot, ND, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, in a Sioux Falls, SD, hospital.

Edmund Leroy Iverson was born February 1, 1927, the son of Joe and Ida (Suko) Iverson in New Leipzig, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot, ND.

Edmund enlisted in the United States Army April 16, 1945. He proudly served his country during WWII and was honorably discharged December 29, 1946.

Edmund was married to Agnes Lucille Hime October 15, 1949, in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where he was employed by Ward County as an equipment operator and the City of Minot as a heavy equipment operator. Agnes passed away September 2, 2005

He was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church, Minot, Minot Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #753, and Minot American Legion Post #26.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, and collecting miniature cars.

Surviving family includes: son, Gerald (Colleen) Iverson, Tea, SD; daughter, Linda (Jim) Kulzer, Harrisburg, SD; grandsons, Derrick (DeDra) Iverson and Jonathan Iverson, and Bradley Kulzer; granddaughters, Dawn (John) Mohr, and Mallory Iverson, all of the Sioux Falls, SD, area; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edmund was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Agnes; sister, Joann Rankin; and brother, Bud Iverson.

Funeral: Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 1:00 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Friday from 2 pm to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 am to service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
