Delores May Inman • 1936 - 2010

Delores May Inman, 74, Berthold, wife of Robert Inman, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 19, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, at Rock View Good Samaritan Home in Parshall, ND.

Delores May Laumb was born on May 29, 1936, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Gilbert and Inga (Kostad) Laumb. She spent her childhood in the rural Lonetree area. She was a Lonetree Skeeter. She graduated from Kenmare Public School in 1954.

Delores married Robert Inman December 18, 1976. They made their home in Kenmare until 1984, when they moved to the Oregon Coast. They returned to North Dakota in December of 1997, and made their home in Berthold, where they have resided since.

Delores was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Berthold. She was active in the Berthold “Frayed Squares” quilting club, Berthold whist club, Berthold Women’s Bridge Club, and Women of the ELCA. She had a talent for sewing, knitting, crocheting, and crafts of all kinds. She loved watching sports, collecting bells and agates, and traveling, especially to the Oregon Coast. Camping and fishing were an enjoyment of hers. Delores supported the Berthold High School sports teams and created the large banner that hangs in the Berthold School Gymnasium.

Delores was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always smiling, had a good sense of humor, and always made time for her family and friends.

Her loving family includes: husband, Bob Inman, Bethold; mother, Inga Ludwig, Valley City, ND; daughters, Rita Hamsher, Berthold, Sheryl (Marshall) Hill, Minot, Linda (Doug) Martin, Devils Lake, Alechia (Tracy) Neubauer, Berthold, and Mechell (Jeff) Holien, Surrey; sons: Randy Ramsdell, McCook, NE, and Blake (Danae) Inman, rural Berthold; grandchildren, Krystal Burgess, Katherine Gaskins, Morgan Hamsher, Liahona Corbett, Sariaha Hill, Matthew Martin, Emmalene Handeland, Brittany George, Amanda Neubauer, Shelbe Neubauer, Sawyer Neubauer, Ryder Holien, Owen Inman, Emma Inman; ten great-grandchildren; siblings: Robert (Annamae) Laumb, Tolley, Lucille (Ron) Huber, Spencer, Iowa, Dennis (Kathy) Laumb, Valley City , ND, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Laumb; stepfather, Wilmer Ludwig; daughter, Debra Ramsdell; grandchildren, Robert Gaskins, Reiny Inman, and Michael Martin.

Memorial Service: Friday, October 22, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Berthold

Visitation:  Friday one hour prior to the service in the church.  

A private family service will take place Thursday night at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
