William "Bill" Ide 1952 - 2011 William Frederick Ide was born on December 16, 1952, a son of James and Kay (Lewis) Ide in Laramie, WY. He moved with his family to Minot, ND in 1968, and graduated from Minot High School in 1971. Following graduation, Bill worked various jobs including selling insurance, cooking at the International Inn, working in the oil fields and driving truck. In 1983, he began working for Farstad Oil Company, and worked there for a short time. Bill then started his own business as an independent over the road truck driver for a few years, returning to Farstad Oil Company in 1987, a career that would span over 20 years. Bill was once married to Karen Greaves. Together they had two children Joshua and Jessica. Bill married Clara Brunner on June 25, 2010. They made their home in Minot, where Bill continued to work for Farstad Oil Company transporting fuel. He enjoyed collecting miniature clocks, traveling, working in his yard, barbequing for his family, having family movie nights, being with his children and grandchildren and spending time on the computer. He was very proud of his children’s accomplishments. Bill was a member of the Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot. He is survived by: Wife Clara Ide, Minot; children: Joshua (Tanya) Ide and their child Noelle, Minot; Jessica (Kyle Cook) Ide, Rock island, TN, and Melissa Barnett, Minot; Mother Kay Ide, Beaverton, OR; father James Ide, Edmund, OK; siblings: Janean (Cliff) Bartholomew, Cheyenne, WY, Natalie Ide, Cheyenne, WY, Mark (Jenny) Ide, Perth Australia, and David Ide, Beaverton, OR; step-children: Brad (Ann) Pederson, and their child Adrik, Bell Plane, MN, Michelle Pederson, Minot, ND; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents.
