Verlyn Huwe, 53, Minot, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in his home.

Verlyn Lane Huwe was born on December 23, 1956, a son of Lowell and Harriet (Rasmusson) Huwe in Williston, ND. He was raised and educated in Williston.

On October 24, 1980, Verlyn was united in marriage to Barbara Anderson at Our Redeemers’ Lutheran Church in Williston, ND. They made their home in Minot, where Verlyn worked for Cummins Diesel until ill health forced him into retirement.

Verlyn loved spending time with his family. He would do anything for his two daughters and his grandson was his world. He enjoyed spending time doing work outside. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.

Daughters: Sarah (Alex Knutson) Huwe, Minot, Stephanie (Casey) Knutson, Minot; grandson Connor Knutson, Minot: father Lowell Huwe, Williston, ND; brothers: Ron (Edna) Huwe, Snohomish, WA, Gaylen (Candy) Huwe, Williston, Kendal Huwe, Portland, OR, Shelly Huwe, Williston, sister: Sherry Clavette, Grand Forks, ND; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Verlyn was preceded in death by his mother and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Visitation: Tuesday, November 2, 2010, from 1:00-7:00pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot

Burial:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
