Theresa Ann (Hastings)
Hulse 1929 - 2003 Theresa Ann (Hastings) Hulse, 74, 601 24th St. NW, Minot, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, in a Minot nursing home. Theresa was born June 24, 1929 on a farm in Hastings Township, Bottineau County, north of Maxbass, ND. The township was named after her grandfather, Thomas Hastings. She was the eldest daughter of Joseph and Violette (Piquette) Hastings. Theresa attended school in Maxbass, Catholic school in Willow City and graduated from Maxbass High School in 1946. She attended Minot Business College and worked at the First District Health Unit, both in Minot. Theresa married Estel Allen Hulse on November 29, 1948 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Westhope. She farmed with her husband for two years in the Westhope area. Theresa and her husband moved to Witchita, Kansas and worked for Beach aircraft while they both attended Chiropractic College. They moved to Davenport, Iowa to complete their chiropractic schooling. They moved back to North Dakota and opened their first Chiropractic Clinic in Bowbells, ND. In 1960 they moved to Minot where they raised their family, and owned and operated Hulse Chiropractic Clinic until their retirement in 1993. Theresa served in many offices with the North Dakota Chiropractic Auxiliary and was an active member as a tenor with the Minot Chapter of the Sweet Adalines. She was an avid Bridge player and a member of the Minot Duplicate Bridge Club. Theresa has been a life long member of the Catholic Church and a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Minot. Survivors: Husband, Dr. Estel Allen Hulse, Minot; daughter, Dawn Settel, Dallas, TX; sons, Todd Hulse and Barry Hulse, both Minot; four grandchildren, Jessica Geer, Arlington, TX, and David, Jacqueline and Barret Hulse, all of Minot; sisters, Pat Larson, Glenburn, and Irene Sivertson, Mesa, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Estel Allen, Jr., her parents, Joseph and Violette Hastings, and her sister, Vivian Bradley. Funeral: Wednesday March 26, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Visitation and vigil prayer service: Tuesday, March 25, 2003, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery, Westhope, ND. Immediately following the funeral everyone is invited to the
Knights of Columbus, located at 2601 N. Broadway, Minot, for
