LeRoy Arnold Huizenga Nov. 17, 1934-July 28, 2008
He was born in Minot on Nov. 17, 1934 to Arthur and Sarah Huizenga. He grew up on the family farm north of Minot and graduated from Minot Model High School, where he played on the football team. He attended Minot Business College and worked for Bridgeman Creamery for about 45 years before retiring. He was in the North Dakota National Guard when he was drafted into the Army. He served in Heilbronn, West Germany, from June 25, 1957, to June 10, 1959. He was married to Betty Kraft with whom he had two children,
Leroy and Mariah. His favorite pastimes included bowling, playing
his steel guitar, and fishing for walleye on Lake Sakakawea.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Audrey, who
