Everett Howard 1941 - 2005 Everett L. Howard, 64, Minot, died Friday, October 21, 2005, in his home. Everett was born on October 11, 1941, rural Sawyer, ND, the son of Ernest and Caroline (Schmidt) Howard. He was raised and educated in Ruso and later attended Velva High School. In 1964 Everett was drafted in the United States Army, where
he earned his GED. He proudly served his country until his honorable
discharge on March 2, 1970, when he returned to North Dakota. Everett enjoyed traveling and camping with Bev in their motor home. He also enjoyed playing pool and darts. He loved to hunt and was a member of the National Rifle Association. Everett was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was a former member of the Eagles Aerie. Survivors: Wife, Beverly Howard, Minot; son, James (Cindy) Howard, Anchorage, AK; daughter, Laura (Mike) Brock, Carpio, ND; numerous stepchildren also survive; three grandchildren, Russel Marmon, Thomas Howard and KayLynn Howard; one great-granddaughter, Haley Nicole and numerous step-grandchildren; brothers, Harold (Verna) Howard, rural Sawyer and Arnold (Leona) Howard, Fairview, MT; sisters, Freida Perdue, Velva, Mildred Millie (Raymond) Herda, rural Butte and Carol (Richard) Cogdill, rural Berthold; sister-in-law, Gladys (Leslie) Howard; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Everett was preceded in death by a wife, Dorothy Duchscherer Pietz; grandson, Dale Sigloh; his parents, Ernest Howard and Caroline Bluhm; brother, Leslie Howard. Funeral Service: Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Minot, ND Visitation: Wednesday, October 26, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. There will be no viewing prior to the service at the church. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
