Charles Housley 1938 - 2006


Charley Housley, 68, 1000 2nd St. SE, Minot, ND, died in Christ on Sunday, July 9, 2006, of natural causes in his home.

Charles Lee Housley was born on January 20, 1938, the son of Leland and Ruth (New) Housley in Farmington, Utah. He was raised in Roy, UT, Pocatello, ID, and Ogden, UT. He graduated from Weber High School, Ogden, UT, in 1956. He then attended Weber State University, Ogden, UT, where he received his Associate of Arts Degree.

Charley enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on February 1, 1956. He was honorably discharged on January 31, 1962.

Charley was married to Heather Campbell on August 31, 1963. They made their home in Pasadena, CA. They were later divorced. Charlie moved to Minot in 1986.

He attended First Assembly of God, Minot, and most recently had attended Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot. He enjoyed electronics and arranging music.

Surviving family includes: sons, James (Shandra) Housley, Winlock, WA, and Robert (Susan) Housley, Salt Lake City, UT; nine grandchildren; brother, Lester Housley, Oakland, CA; sister, Leah Taylor, Salt Lake City, UT. Nieces and nephews also surive.

Charley was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Roxanne Brown.

Funeral: Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot.

Interment: Wing Cemetery, Wing, ND.

There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the book on Tuesday from Noon to 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
