LouElla Marie Hoppo 1909 - 2002 LouElla Marie Hoppo, 92, Wooster, OH, formerly of Minot, died June 23, 2002, in a Wooster care center. She was born September 26, 1909, in Bloomington Prairie, Minnesota, the daughter of Eilef and Liv (Olson) Presthus. In 1913, the family moved to a farm north of Douglas, ND. She was a 1928, graduate of Douglas High School and attended college at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, and Minot State. LouElla was an elementary school teacher in the Golden Valley, Dodge, and Hazen, ND, school system. After teaching for 39 years, she retired in 1975, and moved to Minot, ND. She was a member of the local, state, and national teacher's associations. She also taught Sunday school, Bible school, and gave piano lessons. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Minot, and enjoyed making quilts for missions. LouElla moved to Wooster, OH, in 1997 to live with her daughter and family. In 1999, she became a resident of Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster. Survivors: daughters, Maxine Pankow, Minot and Diane (Tim) Iannarelli, Wooster, OH; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Enoch Presthus, Tulare, CA; several nieces, nephews and special friend and care giver, Peggy Daugherty, Wooster, OH, also survive. She was preceded in death by her grandson Terry, great-grandson, Luke, parents, three sisters, Agna, Nora and Ruth, three brothers, Arnold, Melvin, and Kenneth, and son-in-law, Jim Pankow. Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot. Visitation: Tuesday, July 2, 2002, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot Memorials preferred to the National Parkinson's Foundation, Inc. at 1501 NW 9th Ave. Miame, FL 33136-1494 or to Christ Lutheran Church at 502 17th St NW, Minot.
