Thomas Hook • 1956 - 2006 Tom Hook, 49, 612 18th St. NW, Minot, ND, died Friday, January 20, 2006, in his home. Thomas Lee Hook was born on July 29, 1956, the son of Aaron and Lois (Vadnais) Hook in Thief River Falls, MN. He attended Viking Elementary School and Marshall County Central in Newfolden, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church, Viking, MN. In 1977, Tom married Margaret Docken. Together they had a son, Jacob. They were later divorced. In 1982, Tom married Nancy Fogarty, and they had a son, Matt. They were later divorced. In 1985, Tom met Michele "Mickey" Ranthum and her two children, Jennifer and Jeff. They were married on September 12, 1992, in Bemidji, MN. Together they had a daughter, Amy. They made their home in Bemidji until he was transferred to Minot in 1998. Tom drove truck for nearly 30 years, spending time with various businesses that included North Central Jobbers and Wintersteen Trucking. For the past 15 years, he has worked for Johanneson's Inc. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #351 in Bemidji for 20 years and the World Walleye Association, where he served as tournament director for North Dakota. Tom had a passion for the outdoors as he loved to fish and hunt. He had a great sense of humor and had the ability of light up a room with his presence. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. Even until the time of his death, Tom always put the wellbeing of other people first. His loving family includes: wife, Mickey, Minot; children, Jacob (Breeanna) Hook, Fargo, Matthew Fogarty, Moscow Mills, Missouri, Jennifer Maki and her fiancé, Dave Hoodie, Kelliher, MN, Jeff Hall, Minot, and Amy Hook, Minot; grandchildren, Alex, Aaron, and Emily; father, Aaron Hook, Viking, MN; brothers, Gary (Janet) Hook, Woodbury, MN, and Steve (Sharon) Hook, Thief River Falls, MN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
