Ivene H. Holen 1925 - 2003

Ivene H. Holen, 78, 14 14th Ave. SE Apt. B, Minot, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003, in a Minot hospital.

She was born May 14, 1925, in Torning Township, Ward County, the daughter of Julius and Clara (Berget) Hammer. She was reared and educated in Torning Township and in Minot.

Ivene made her home in Minot and worked in the bakery at the Red Owl Grocery Store in Minot for many years. She considered Zion Lutheran Church in Minot her home church. Ivene loved animals especially dogs. She was once married to Richmond Holen.

Survivors: son Gerald (Margaret) Holen, Zap, ND; grandchildren, Corrie, Chad, Terry, Danny and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Mesa, Mara, Cassy, Shawna, Brandee, Corey, Awhna, Christopher, Michelle, Keesha, Justice, Skyler; brother, Russell (Pat) Hammer, Tennessee; sister, Florence Danials, California; special friends, Dora Lee, Jasmine, Lou and Shawna; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ronny, Glenn, Selmer, Duane and Clarence Hammer and sisters, Mabel Hayden, Rose Moen, Hulda Kelly and Harriet Yaroz.

Funeral Service: Saturday November 1, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Visitation: Visitation will be Friday October 31, 2003, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
