Denise (DeeDee) Joyce Hoffert 1961- 2011 Denise was born April 16, 1961 in Minot, ND to John and Janet (Ongstad) Hoffert. She was raised on the family farm, rural Norwich, ND and graduated from Granville High School, Granville, ND in 1979. She then attended Josef’s School of Hair Design in Minot, ND. Upon her high school graduation Denise was employed for several years as a parts person, and most recently as Assistant Parts Manager at Aemsco in Minot, ND, where she was employed at the time of her death. In June of 1982, Denise was united in marriage to Ted Duchsherer, and they had one daughter, Nicole. In December of 1984, Denise married Donald Cree, and they had two sons, Joey and Josh. Denise was an outgoing person, who loved to laugh and make people laugh. She was extremely proud to be a grandmother. She always was willing to help others in times of need. She enjoyed the outdoors such as camping, gardening and anything related to agriculture of which she had cunning knowledge and passion for. Her other interests included canning, cooking and entering beef and chili cook-offs. She also enjoyed playing darts in the Minot Dart League. Those who shared in her life, Daughter, Nicole Duchsherer, Minot; sons, Joey Cree and Josh Cree, both of Minot, ND; one grandchild, Haven Keelan; brothers and sisters, Vernon (Nancy) Hoffert, Norwich, ND; Karen (George) Ramey, Minot; Doug (Delores) Hoffert, Balfour, ND; Karla Hoffert, Fargo, ND and Jolene (Bill) Erickson, Bemidji, MN; Close Companion, Marlyn Sailer, Minot, ND; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Denise was preceded in death by her parents, John and Janet (Ongstad) Hoffert and grandparents Eli and Magdalena (Kraft) Hoffert & Alfred and Emma (Lunde) Ongstad; cousin, Sandy Hoffert, along with numerous Aunts & Uncles. Memorial Service: Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: There will be no reviewal, friends may sign the register Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: A private burial will be held at a later time. Officiating Clergy: Rev. Our family would like to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten.
