Ella M. Hoeffel , 81, 1105 Valley View Drive, Minot, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in a Minot hospital.

Ella Margareth Monger was born on April 5, 1927, at Wildrose, ND, the daughter of John and Monsina Monger.

She attended school in Alamo, ND and later attended Minot Business College. She worked at Montgomery Wards as an office manager until she and Bud started her family.

On January 22, 1951, Ella married Harry Louis "Bud" Hoeffel. She and Bud had four daughters all of whom still live in Minot: Cheryl (Tom) Lowe, Kathy (Robert) Aspaas, Susan (Robert) Boyeff, Terri (Kevin) Lang.

Her husband Bud, died on March 26, 2007, and she continued to live in Minot.

Ella was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot

Survivors: daughters, Cheryl (Tom) Lowe, Kathy (Robert) Aspaas, Susan (Robert) Boyeff, Terri (Kevin) Lang, all of Minot; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, Matthew, Lindsey Lowe, Alecia (Andy) Rostad, Amanda (Leif) Mattson, Melissa (Jacob) Solper, Michelle (Nevets) Hoff, Bryan (Trisha) Boyeff, Marie (Jason) Sanders, Kasey Lang; 6 great-grandchildren, Grace and Zoe Sanders, Juniper, Jasper and Medora Rostad, Tayson Solper; brother, Raymond (Ione) Monger, Troutdale, OR; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; parents, John and Monsina Monger, sisters, Ragnild Monger, Olga Bakken, Minnie Stotts and Clara Kvamme; brothers, Orvin, Johnny and Wallace Monger.

Funeral Service: Friday, December 26, 2008 at 10 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Minot.

Visitation: Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from noon until 7 p.m. with a prayer service for family and friends at 7 p.m. all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
