Roxanna Hizer 1933 - 2007 Roxanna Gale Streich was born September 19, 1933, the daughter of Rockwell and Minnie (Colson) Streich in Maxbass, ND. She attended country school through the 8th grade and then attended and graduated from Maxbass Public School. She then attended Minot Business College, worked as a secretary in Minot and later Seattle, WA. She returned to North Dakota where she met and married Nathan O. Hizer in Bottineau, ND November 1, 1955. Roxanna and her husband lived at Antler, ND for a time until Nathan joined the US Army. While he was in the Army they moved periodically. When her husband retired, they moved back to Bottineau, ND and lived there until April of 1987, when Nathan passed away. Following her husband's passing, she moved back to Sioux Falls, SD, where they had lived before and worked as a secretary again and part-time at Wal-Mart. She later moved back to Minot, and worked part-time at Wal-Mart as a cashier until she became ill. Roxanna is survived and will be greatly missed by: her son and daughter-in-law, Rockwell and Betty Hizer, Oskaloosa, IA; her daughter and son-in-law, Jerane and Flint Forsberg, Minot; two granddaughters, Jessica (Sam) Callison, Minot Air Force Base, ND, and Mehgan Forsberg, Minot; sisters, Ellen (Larry) Brandvold, Souris, ND, and Judy (Raymond) Hoskin, Minot; brother, Patrick (Cathy) Streich, Williston; a brother-in-law and several sisters-in-law on Nathan's side and many, many nieces and nephews; and her constant companion, her little dog, Scruffy. Roxanna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nathan; sisters, Georgia Johnson and Martha Streich; and brothers, Lee Streich, and Daniel "Boonie" Streich. Funeral: Thursday, October 25, 2007, at 11:00 a.m.
