G. Eunice Hines 1919 - 2006

G. Eunice Hines, 86, Minot, ND, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 19, 2006, at a Minot nursing home surrounded by her loving caring friends Donna Fettig and Marge Frank close by her side.

She was born on November 24, 1919, in Minot, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Kohout) Hines. She was reared in Minot and graduated as valedictorian from St. Leo's High School in 1937.

Eunice worked for Westland Oil Co. in Minot for over forty years. While working there she also cared for her parents, Fred and Anna. After her retirement, Eunice remained in Minot and was very active with her church.

Eunice was a lifelong supporter and devoted member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Minot. She sang in the Adult Choir at St. Leo's and the Marian Choir and Rosary Group in the 1950's which was broadcast on a local radio station. She was a life member of St. Elizabeth Court #170 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a former member of the St. Winifred Guild of the St. Leo's Confraternity.

Eunice always found time for others and was very charitable with all nonprofit organizations, family and friends. She was a big sports fan especially baseball and the Minnesota Twins. She loved needlepoint, knitting and arts and crafts.

Survivors: cousins; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-grand, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Vernon, Vernon's twin infant brother, and Harold Hines; and sisters, Lillian Olson and Marie Ellesch.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot

Visitation: Monday, October 23, 2006, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials sent to St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.
