Lloyd Hills 1923- 2006 Lloyd Alfred Hills was born on May 28, 1923, the son of Alfred F. and Lucy (Cross) Hills in Bottineau, ND. He was raised and educated in the Dunseith area. As a young adult, he sought work in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Lloyd was married to Annie L. Kraft on July 1, 1944, in Bottineau, ND. Over the years, the couple lived in Minnesota and North Dakota. He had worked as a carpenter on the Garrison Dam, the Iron Range in Minnesota, the Thule Greenland Air Force Base, the Minot Air Force Base, and several area missile sites. Lloyd had worked as a carpenter all of his life. He worked various jobs in the area, including for Washek Construction for a number of years. He had also worked at Minot State University for a short time. In 2001, he entered the Souris Valley Care Center in Velva. Annie passed away on July 11, 2004. He was a former member of First Lutheran Church, Minot, the AFL-CIO Union and the Building Trade and Carpenters Union. He enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, and loved going camping with his family. Surviving family includes: daughters, Shirley (Kenneth) Quick, Mandan, ND, Joyce Berg, Benedict, ND, Barbara (Donald) Anhorn, Fargo, ND, and Dorothy (Wilburt) Warner, Sawyer, ND; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Lester "Bud" (Alice) Kraft, Hennesey, OK; sisters-in-law, Bertha Handland, Pocatello, ID, Dorothy Schneider, Bottineau, ND, and Marlene (Rodney) Armentrout, Willow City, ND; and several nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annie; son-in-law, Larry Berg; and brother-in-law, Warren Schneider. Funeral: Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at
