Mary Jean "Jeanie"
Herman 1939 - 2007 Jeanie was born on February 25, 1939, the daughter of Gilbert and Margaret (Harmel) Berdahl in Rugby, ND. She was reared and educated in the Rugby area. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In her early years, she worked at the Plains Cafe in Rugby. On July 15, 1956, she was united in marriage to Vernon Lee Herman Sr. in Rugby, ND. They lived in Minot for a time, where she worked at the Little Dutch Mill and Gordon's Holiday Spot. She also sold Avon. They then moved to Ross, ND, where Vernon was the Postmaster until 1980, then transferred to Kramer, ND. In 1992, they returned back to Minot. Vernon died on September 14, 2000. Jeanie enjoyed gardening, canning, going hunting with her husband while he was alive, taking care of her grandchildren and more recently her great-grandson Logan. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends. She will be sadly missed by: Sons: Vernon L. Herman
