Gregory Hennix 1951-2005 Gregory J. "Norm" Hennix, 53, Burlington, died Thursday in a Minot medical center. Gregory Jerome Hennix was born August 17, 1951, the son of Gaylen and Dorothy (Christianson) Hennix in Kenmare, ND. He attended school in Bowbells, ND, until he moved to Minot in 1967. He then attended Minot High School and graduated in 1969. Greg started working at Trinity Hospital while in high school and continued working there until medical reasons forced him to retire. He married Gail (Leigh) Peterson in 1976. Together they had two girls, Tanya and Jana. They were later divorced. He was known at Trinity for his great Lefse, using the recipe he received from his grandma. Greg was a member of the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corp and went to the National Convention in Boston, MA. He enjoyed farming part-time with his cousin Laury and spending time with his grandson, Riley. He was on many dart and pool leagues and also enjoyed entering chili cook-offs. He was an honorary member of the chili cook-off society. He liked fishing and working on cars. Later in life he put together model cars, enjoyed taking pictures, and going for long drives. Greg is survived by his daughters, Tanya Hennix, Minot, and Jana Hennix, Minot; grandson, Riley Thompson, Minot; mother, Dorothy Hennix, Minot; grandmother, Geneva Christianson, Minot; brother, Jerry (Celine) Hennix, Fargo, ND; sister, DeMaris (Charles) Fitzpatrick, Velva, ND; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gaylen Hennix; sister, Donna Hennix; grandparents, Edward Christianson, Harry Hennix, and Garda (Myren) Hennix.
