Mary Helm 1970 - 2007 Mary Marie Helm was born on March 31, 1970, the daughter of Floyd and Roseann (Black) Helm in Minot, ND. Her mother, Roseann, passed away when she was six years old. She was raised by Floyd and Helen Helm. She attended Edison Elementary, Jim Hill Jr. High School and graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in 1988. Following her high school graduation, she worked as a nanny for a family in New York City, NY, for a couple years. She moved back to Minot in 1992 and in 1994, moved to Fargo. She was employed by the YMCA as a fitness trainer for 13 years and attended North Dakota State University. She received her degree in Mass Communication with a minor in History in 2000. Following her graduation from NDSU, she worked for Days Inn and Comfort Inn in Fargo. In 2005, she moved to Roseville, MN, where she was employed by Herbergers. She enjoyed working out and running. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot, and St. Rose of Lima, Roseville, MN. She was an active volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Angel Foundation, and the American Cancer Society. Mary was an inspiration to her family and friends. She remained very optimistic and courageous throughout all her health challenges. She loved life and it showed through her faith in God, love for her family and friends, and her unfailing perseverance. Mary cherished the people in her life and gave very special attention to her nieces and nephews who loved her in return ever so much. She will be greatly missed by the people whose lives she touched. Surviving family includes: parents, Floyd and Helen Helm, Minot; brothers, Rick (Cristiana) Helm, Minot; Steven Helm, and his children, Kristen, Brandon, and Lyndon, Fargo; sisters, Kathleen (Michael) Richman, and their children, Kaitlyn and Nicholas, Omaha, NE; Susan Blocher, and her children, Megan and Emily, all of Minot; and Sarah Helm, Minot; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Roseann; paternal grandparents, Fred and Bertha Helm; maternal grandparents, Frank and Agnes Black; and Roy and Colette Tripp. Funeral: Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at
