Mark E. Helming • 1943 - 2011 Mark was born May 14, 1943 in Minot, ND to Milton and Gertrude (Baggenstoss) Helming. He was raised and educated in Lansford and graduated from Lansford High School. Throughout his life, he farmed, owned and managed several businesses and was an accomplished welder. In his retirement years, Mark loved to travel, spending many winters in the Phillipines. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. And most of all he loved spending time in his garden. Mark always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. He was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed. Those who shared in his life, Daughters, Carmen Barkie, Minot, Deidre Moates and Erica (Troy) Suzuki, all of Washington State; grandchildren, Carissa Lagerquist, Jacob Barkie, Anthony Suzuki, Alec Suzuki, Ana Suzuki, McKenzie Moates and Samuel Moates; great-grandchildren, Coy and Kyah Lagerquist; sisters, Gail DeMoe, Tioga, ND and Roberta Dodson, Minot; brother, Dennis Helming, Washington, D.C; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark was preceded in death by his son, Wayd Helming; his parents, Milton and Gertrude; sister, Elaine Heidbreder and brother, Kenneth Helming. Funeral service: Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 2600 West Central Ave., Minot, ND. Visitation and family service: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register, Friday, November 11, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the family service at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
