Kenneth A. Held 1938- 2010 Kenneth was born April 13, 1938 in Harvey, ND to John and Helen (Kelsch) Held. He was raised in the Selz and Harvey areas and graduated from Harvey High School. He attended DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. On March 12, 1966, Kenneth married Carolyn Gilbraith in Devils Lake, ND. They made their home in Minot, where he co-owned and operated Color Tech TV Service, until ill health forced him to retire five years ago. Kenneth was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, the Eagles Aerie and the Knights of Columbus, all in Minot. He was an avid bowler and loved to fish. Those who shared in his life, loving wife, Carolyn, Minot; children, Jody Held, Dallas, TX; Kory Held and Krista Horn, both of Minot; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Carolyn, Jonathan, Dominic, Ethan, Ashley, Clay and Jessyca; eight brothers & sisters: Delores Held, Everett, WA, Katherine Shriver, Everett, WA, Eva (Wendelin) Richter, Renton WA, Dawn (Don) Hall, Taylor, NC, Elizabeth (Carrol) Risinger, Sidney, MT, Dianne (Ron) Leinen, West Bend, WI, Patronilla (Tobias) Lemer, Pick City, ND, Timothy (Bev) Held, Selz, ND; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen; five brothers and sisters Mary Abrahamson, Leo Held, August Held, Marcella Rogalla, Thomas Held. Funeral: Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: There will be no reviewal, cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the guest register, Tuesday, one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial: A private burial will be held at a later time.
