Helen Dougherty Heimbush
• 1905 - 2003 She was born October 6, 1905, in Hawley, MN, the daughter of John and Gladys (Mudgett) Dougherty. Helen was one of eight children. She was reared and educated in Minnesota. She married William Heimbush on November 23, 1923 in Hawley, MN. The couple moved to Omemee, ND in 1925. In 1935, the couple moved to Lansford, ND. Helen started working for the Lansford Post Office in 1942 and remained there until 1967. Helen and William moved to Minot in 1969. William died on April 25, 1984, in Minot. Survivors: daughter, Genevieve Taylor, Minot; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William, son, William and daughter, Holly Berg. Funeral Service: Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot. Visitation: Monday, January 27, 2003, from Noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
