John (J.T.) Heilman 1919 - 2003 John (J. T.) Heilman, 84, Minot, died Monday, October 6, 2003, in a Minot nursing home. John was born on January 11, 1919 on a farm, near Karlsruhe, ND, the youngest of eight children born to John and Theresa (Ziegler) Heilman. He was raised in Karlsruhe. In 1945, John married Ethel C. "Effie" Anderson, at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. Following their marriage they lived on a farm near Karlsruhe, ND, and in 1947 they moved to Minot where John went to work for Anderson Beverage Company. John was employed for over thirty years in the beverage industry before retiring from Morelli's Distributing in 1984. John and Ethel were married for 55 years until her passing in 2000, and were the parents of five children all born and raised in Minot. John was an avid outdoorsman and hunting and fishing held a special place in his heart. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his family and friends. Survivors: Sons, Bruce and Kent Heilman, both in Minot; daughters, Pam Palumbo, Bonnie Swinger and Mary Trondson, all of Minot; six grandchildren, Todd Palumbo, Eric Swinger, Rebecca and Rachel Trondson, Jacob and Caleb Heilman; great grandson Tucker Olson; sister, Elizabeth Voeller, Minot; several nieces and nephews survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Charlotte "Effie" Heilman; his parents, and six sisters. Funeral: Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
