James A. Heigh 1965- 2011

James A. Heigh, 45, Minot ND, formerly of Salem, OR, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011, at his residence.

James Andrew Heigh was born November 19, 1965, a son of Harry and Janet (Ingram) Heigh, in California. He was raised and educated in Salem, Oregon.

Following his high school graduation, Jim enlisted and was later honorably discharged from the United States Army.

Jim had many jobs throughout his short life lived. He was currently employed by CHS Transportation as the Shop Foreman.

Jim was once married to Laura Unruh. From this union, three children were born, Monica, Amanda, and Dustin. Jim met Lisa Hiller in 2005. They were later engaged to be married and had two children, Brayden and Paige.

Jim loved to play pool, throw darts, golf, hunt and fish. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

His loving family includes: his fiancée, Lisa Hiller, Minot; children, Monica Scott, Salem, OR, Amanda (Trey) Scanlon, Charleroi, PA, and Dustin Heigh, Salem, OR; and Brayden (age 4) and Paige (age 3), both at home; grandchildren, Skyler Heigh, Bryton Scott, and Riley and Tucker Scanlon; mother, Janet Heigh, Silverton, OR; sister, Teresa (Fred) Barber, Salem, OR, brother, Ron Heigh, Salem, OR; step-sister, Sandra Dolan, California. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Jim was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial Service: Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot.

A Memorial Service will also take place at a later date in Salem, OR.

Visitation:
There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register book on Friday from Noon to 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials
are preferred to an account which has been set up at Gate City Bank, Minot, in order to help his children and with his funeral expenses. Memorials may be made payable to his fiancée, Lisa Hiller.
