Rodney Lee Hegle 1952 - 2004

Rodney Lee Hegle, 51, 1318 5th St SW, Minot, died Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at his home of natural causes.

He was born on September 22, 1952, in Minot, ND, the son of Marion and Dorothy (Hahn) Hegle. He was reared and educated in Minot and graduated in 1993.

In 1972, Rodney moved to Grand Junction, CO, where he was employed as a dry wall contractor and in 1974, moved to Washington where he worked as a dry wall contractor and later in a seafood processing plant. Rodney worked in Oklahoma City, OK, for a short time and in 1979, he returned to Minot where he has since lived.

Rodney was a licensed scuba diver and instructor. He was a skilled craftsman and he loved hunting, fishing and cooking, especially smoking and curing meat. Rodney enjoyed coaching for the Minot YMCA floor hockey program.

Survivors: son, Rodney B. Hegle, Bismarck, ND; daughter, Loranda Hadaller, Mossyrock, WA; grandchildren, Robin and Wyatt Hadaller, Mossyrock; sister, Corda Lucius, Minot; aunt, Frances Grilley, Minot; nephews, Randy Hegleand his companion Stacey, and their daughter Leah; Elvis Hegle, Richard Hegle and his wife Treva, and their daughters, Heather and Delores; Marvin Hegle, Jeffery Hegle, all of Minot and his daughter, Renata of Mandan, and Randy and his wife Brenda Davis, Karlsruhe; cousin, Thomas Hegle. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Marvin Hegle, Alvin Martin, Harold Martin.

Funeral Service: Monday, August 30, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Visitation: Monday, August 30, 2004 from Noon until service time at the funeral home.

Burial: Saron Lutheran Cemetery, South Prairie, ND. Burial will take place at 4 p.m. on Monday.
