Cindy Hathaway, 58, 600 4th St. West, Velva, ND, went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 29, 2008, in a Minot hospital after a courageous struggle with first a brain tumor and then cancer.

Cynthia Rae Hathaway was born October 21, 1949, the daughter of John and Audrey (Lienhart) Muus in Sioux Falls, SD. She was raised and educated in Anaheim, CA.

In 1995, Cindy began employment at Trinity Homes in Minot as a Certified Nurses Assistant. In October of 2007, she became diagnosed with cancer.

Cindy has touched so many lives in such selfless ways. As a daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, Sunday school teacher; she has always been overly thoughtful, kind, and giving. She truly was a selfless servant to so many. She had such a unique way of bringing joy to the simplest of situations - her heart overflowed with gratitude. She was always trying to do for others - and never thinking she was doing enough. All who were touched by her life have been honored and highly favored.

Through the struggles her faith stayed strong - she did not waver - for she knew in whom she had believed and she was grateful that she could know that her Redeemer liveth.
