L. Harris • 1929 - 2005 Lorraine "Bobbie" L. Harris, 76, Kenmare, died Saturday, August 20, 2005 in a Minot Hospital. Lorraine Murray was born on January 1, 1929, the daughter of John and Helen (O'Hara) Murray in Kenmare, ND. She was reared and educated along with her eight brothers and sisters in the Kenmare area, graduating from Kenmare high school 1947. On July 18, 1953, she was united in marriage to Donald L. Harris at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kenmare, ND. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Kenmare, where Lorraine worked as a telephone operator at Northwest Bell and later at the Kenmare Laundry. She then devoted her time to raising her family and assisted Donald with the operation of the Don Harris Gravel Company Inc. They sold the business in 1987. Following their retirement, Lorraine enjoyed spending time at the lake. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lorraine was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, the St. Joseph's Circle. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, along with many other local organizations. Lorraine is survived by: Her husband of 52 years, Donald Harris, Kenmare, ND; daughters: Debby (Harold) Rasmusson, Parshall, ND; Kim (Shawn) Froseth, Kenmare, ND; Robin (Steve) Begg, International Falls, MN; Wendy (Scott) Reid, Kenmare, ND; son: Jason (Kari) Harris, Bottineau, ND; eleven Grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) Pederson, Tami (Kelly) Schauer, Justin, Tarra, and Dayna Froseth, Brock and Bradley Begg, Cassandra and Michael Reid, Kennedy and Piper Harris; three great-grandchildren: Austin Rasmusson, Taylor and Tace Pederson; brothers: Howard Murray, Seattle, WA; Robert Murray, Kenmare, ND; William "Bill" (Jean) Murray, Kenmare, ND; Jerry (Rita) Murray, Seattle, WA; sisters: Carolyn (Ron) Harris, Kenmare, ND; Diane (Lee) Edwards, Kenmare, ND; Gail (Lynn) Plexico, Charlotte, NC; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Betty Fitzgerald. Visitation: Tuesday, August 23, 2005 from 2:oo p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare. Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare Burial: St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare, ND.
