Raymond E. Hardy PhotoRaymond E. Hardy, 28, Minot, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Region Hospital in St. Paul, MN, from injuries sustained at a work related accident Wednesday, near Williston, ND.

Raymond Eugene Hardy was born August 24, 1983 at mile marker 15 Highway 18 near Custer, SD to Raymond and Lynda (Stanton) Hardy.  He graduated from Bowbells High School, Bowbells, ND in 2002.  Following graduation he attended Williston State College where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Auto Mechanics in 2004.

Following school Ray worked at Myaer Motors in Mohall for a time.  He then started a career in the oil field and at the time of his death he was employed by Carlson Well Service, Powers Lake, ND as a Relief Operator of Rig #3.

Raymond married Amanda Williams on June 20, 2007 in Minot.  Together they had two beautiful children, whom he adored.   Their daughter, Skylar and son, Dylon, and a daughter, Raychel who is soon to be born.

Ray loved his family and the crews he worked with in the oil field.  He loved taking his kids on four-wheeler rides and just being with them as much as he could.  He liked hunting, riding horses and going on hayrides with his family.  He also liked to collect decorative knives and guns.

Those who shared in his life, His loving wife, Amanda, Minot; children, Skylar, Dylon and soon to be baby Raychel; his parents, Raymond and Lynda Hardy, Edgemont, SD; brothers, Scott (Wendy) Stanton, Kenmare, ND, Chad (Stacey) Kremer, Sioux Falls, SD; sisters, Elizabeth (Brian) Leingang, Carpio, ND, Amanda (Shaun) Hylle and Paula (Bill) Morrow, all of Hot Springs, SD; grandfather, Ralph (Inez) Stanton of California; mother-in-law, Joetta (Don Broden) Williams, Mohall, ND; father-in-law, Rob (Brian McLaughlin) Williams, Benicia, CA; brothers-in-law, Jim (Laura) Williams, Kenmare, ND, Scott (Jaci) Williams, Harvey, ND and Adam Williams, Mohall, ND.  Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Ray was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louise Stanton, Mahlon and Pauline Hardy, and a cousin, Tammy Macomber.

Memorial Service:  Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 215 3rd Ave. SE, Minot, ND.

Visitation:  There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the guest register Wednesday, September 21, 2011, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, 21 3rd Ave. SW, Minot, ND.
