Ronald Hanson 1935 - 2004

Ronald Hanson, 69, 1220 17th Ave, SW, Minot died Saturday, November 6, 2004 in a Minot hospital.

Ronald was born April 4, 1935 in Blaisdell, ND, the son of Theodore and Gladys (Gandrud) Hanson. He attended school in Blaisdell, Niobe, and Kenmare. As a young man he worked in Texas on a seismograph crew, and later on a construction crew in New Town, New England, and Mott.

On August 28, 1956, Ronald married Bernice Hellman at St. Placidus, ND, near Mott. Ron and Bernice made their home in Minot, where Ron was employed by Mattson Construction for 40 years. He was superintendent of many projects, including, Hartnett Hall, Minot State University Dome, Henry Towers, and the Minot International Airport. Ron concluded his career as superintendent, with a year and a half long project with Northwest Airlines at the Minneapolis Airport.

Ron was a member of Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church, and a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed visiting with anyone who would stop to talk, and going out for breakfast with his buddies.

Survivors: Wife of 48 years, Bernice, Minot, ND; sons: LuAlan (Leann) Hanson, Minot, ND; Leon (Paulette) Hanson, Cannon Falls, MN. 5 grandchildren: BreeAnna Hanson, Meghann Hanson, Reid Hanson, Gavin Hanson, Mackenzie Hanson.Brothers: Marvin Hanson, Stanley, ND; Arnold Hanson, Bismarck, ND. Sisters: Audrey Fevold, Stanley, ND; Mavis Bomstad, Kenmare, ND. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Gladys, and grandson, Brett.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, November 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Visitation: Monday, November 8, 2004 from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Monday, November 8, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot

In Lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church, and the Sunshine Camp.
