Ralph K. Hanson 1947 - 2011 Ralph Kenneth Hanson was born on October 13, 1947, a son of Hollis and Florence (Hoyt) Hanson in Minot, ND. While attending school in Minot, Ralph lived with his sister Delores for two years, and he graduated from Minot Public Schools As a young man, Ralph worked for Service Shoe Shop on Main Street in Minot. He shined a lot of shoes; he could really snap that rag to a spit shine. He took great pride in his shoe shining. On February 14, 1997, Ralph was united in marriage to Alice Skalicky. They made their home in Minot, where Ralph worked as kitchen staff for numerous restaurants, most recently the north KFC. He enjoyed playing cribbage, a talent he learned while living with his Uncle Ernest Hanson, and playing cards, especially Gin Rummy. When his nieces and nephews were younger, Ralph would babysit for them and taught them how to play cribbage. Ralph always laughed a lot and loved to joke around. He was a very simple, determined man, who led a simple life and set in his own ways. His family has always been very close, loving, caring. Ralph recently accepted Christ into his life. He now has gone to join his parents and infant brother in everlasting life in Heaven. We will miss him dearly. Ralph is survived by: Ralph was preceded in death by father Hollis N.
