Ruth Hanson 1922 - 2004 Ruth Hanson, 81, Minot, died Monday, July 19, 2004 in a Bismarck hospital. Ruth was born on October 17, 1922, in Roseglen, ND, the daughter of John and Marie (Frumm) Forsman. She grew up in Roseglen. She married Orris Haugen, on February 2, 1940 in Roseglen. They farmed in the Roseglen area and owned a business in Roseglen until 1955 when they moved to Douglas, ND. They moved to Garrison in 1976. Orris preceded her in death. She later moved to Minot. On April 11, 1987, in Minot, she married Herbert Hanson and they lived in Minot. Herbert died on August 21, 1998. Ruth was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and Senior Citizens both of Minot. Survivors: Children, Jerry (Sharon) Haugen, Loveland, CO., Sheila (Robert) Heer, Golden, CO, Cal (Sandy) Haugen, Sequin, TX, Shannon (Stephen "Butch") Westman, Mandan, ND, Sheryl (Bill) Farley, Westminster, CO, seven grandchildren, Michael, Tracy and Jodi Haugen, Leta Lewis, Kristen Kolczynski, Kara Heer and Eric Haugen, five great-grandchildren, Andrea, Alex and Casey Haugen, Hunter and Jake Kolczynski; brother, Art (Vivian) Forsman, Garrison, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Shane Schumaier, sisters, Dagmar, Dagne, Deborah and Daisy; brothers, Benny, Walter, Arnold, Gunner and Tony. Funeral: Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND Visitation: Thursday, today from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
