Kevin Hanson • 1965 - 2005

Kevin Hanson, 40, Appomattox, Virginia, and formerly of Granville, died Friday, July 29, 2005, in his home.

Kevin Lee Hanson was born on July 8, 1965, the son of Doran and Juanita (Olson) Hanson in Minot, North Dakota. He was raised in Granville, where he attended school and graduated in 1983.

He was employed by Craft Builders, Magic City Lumber, and Muus Lumber while living in Granville. On February 19, 1999, he married Tracy (Osborne) Ingle. They then moved to her hometown in Appomattox, VA, in January of 2000. He was employed as an outside sales representative of Marvin Windows for Architectural Windows of Virginia.

His children, Nathan and Heidi, were the true loves of his life. He was a loving father. Kevin was the family prankster. He had a gift of making a somber situation a little lighter for others. He often had us laughing so hard we cried. He was a great story teller. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Surviving family includes: wife, Tracy, son, Nathan, and daughter, Heidi, all of Appomattox, VA,
father, Doran Hanson of Granville, sisters, Deb Walter of Minot and Karla (Steve) Wilson of Fargo,
brother, Michael (Maria) Hanson of Velva, nephews, Jason and Devin Walter, Mark Wilson, and Wyatt Hanson, nieces, Michelle (Matt) Johnson, and Stephanie Wilson, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother; Juanita, who lost her battle with cancer in August of 2002, paternal grandparents, Hans and Cora Hanson, and maternal grandparents, Edwin and Elizabeth Olson.

Funeral: Saturday, August 6, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Granville, ND.

Interment: Granville Community Cemetery, Granville, ND.

There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the book on Friday from Noon until 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials are preferred to the Nathan and Heidi Hanson Trust Fund.
