Hannah Hanson 1913 - 2008 Hannah Amelia Sevig was born May 25, 1913, a daughter of Peder and Anna (Halvorson) Sevig in rural Palermo, ND. She attended Clearwater Township School. As the oldest daughter of seven children her primary task was to help both inside and outside on the family farm. Hannah was employed many years as a baker at Piggly Wiggly Store in Minot followed by a number of years in the housekeeping department at Trinity Hospital. For many years her chief love was cooking at the Metigoshe Bible Camp. Hannah was married to Carl A. Hanson July 10, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. They lived and farmed for 40 years in the Emmet, ND, area. All those years found her active in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Emmet, ND, and the local Homemaker's Club. Having no children of her own, Hannah was a favorite aunt to nieces and nephews, who for weeks at a time, found a ready welcome at Hannah and Carl's Farm. Carl passed away February 22, 2000. Following her husband's death, she continued to reside in Minot. Surviving family includes: brother, Arthur (Alpha) Sevig, Minot, and Palmer Sevig, Willmar, MN; sister, Martha Rovenko, Minot; and several nieces and nephews. Hannah was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; brothers, Harold and Alfred Sevig; and sister, Esther Kabanuck; Funeral: Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Zion
