Rosemary Florence Hall 1922- 2011 Rosemary Florence Critelli was born September 26, 1922, in Danbury, Connecticut, the daughter of Domenic and Angeline (Chiarella) Critelli, of Calabria, Italy. The oldest of three children, she she worked in a bakery as a young adult. During World War II, she worked in a factory making bullets. She was also an established pianist and vocalist until she fell in love. Florence lived in Manhattan, NY, for almost 10 years after marrying her husband, Stephen, Sr., in 1946, and after living in Richmond, VA, San Francisco, CA, and Portland, OR, they settled in Seattle, WA, spending winters and partial summers in Sun Valley ID, eventually making a second home there. Florence managed a large dental clinic in Seattle for many years. She volunteered for the Seattle Symphony while her husband was on the board, volunteered at the Virginia Mason Hospital gift shop for 30 years, and also spent many hours volunteering at the Children's Hospital in Seattle, and the Freidman Memorial Hospital in Sun Valley. Well known for her gourmet cooking and ability to prepare lavish dinner parties for many social and community events, including many after symphony gatherings in her home, she was a gracious perfectionist in everything she did. Florence was a member of the Seattle Tennis Club and Washington Athletic Club. A loving wife and mother, she will be greatly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (Bruce) Jacobson of Minot, ND, her son, Stephen (Leslie Ritter) Hall of Kennewick, WA, sister, Gloria (Gene) Taylor, Seattle, WA, grandchildren, Lianna Hall, Seattle, WA, Matthew T. Jameson, Grand Forks, ND, Megan F. Parr, Chicago, IL, and great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Shaquille. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, (who passed away March 20, 2008) her mother and father, and her brother, Louie Critelli. Viewing will take place Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 3 to 7 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Officiant: The Rev.
