Edwin Lee Hagenow • 1965- 2010

Edwin Lee Hagenow, 44, Altoona, Iowa, died in his sleep on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at his home with the Lord in his heart. 

Lee was born June 29, 1965 to Arno and Norma Hagenow in Valparaiso, IN.  He served in the US Air Force and was discharged as a Sergeant.  He earned many honors and medals including the Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Overseas Short Tour Ribbon.  Lee, and his brother, Jarrod, owned and operated Hagenow Brothers Construction for 15 years together and most recently, Lee was self employed with Tops & Trim, Inc.  He attended St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Lee is survived by his parents, Arno and Norma Hagenow; Altoona, IA, sister, Katrina (Brian) Hagenow Anderson; sister-in-law, Angela Hagenow; nieces, Tersha (Sam), Carlita, and Breanna; nephews, Wyatt and Tanner; grandmother, Ruth Lindlauf; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jarrod; maternal grandfather; and paternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 SE Sharon Dr., Ankeny, IA.

A Graveside Service will take place Monday, June 7, at 2:00 pm at St. John’s Cemetery, Kongsberg, ND.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ankeny, IA.
