Julie Lynn Gustafson, 44, Williston, formerly of the Blaisdell and Stanley areas, died Friday, January 26, 2007 in a Minot hospital.

Julie was born December 29, 1962 in Minot, ND to Cyril and Rose Mary (Stock) Gustafson. She was raised in the Blaisdell area and graduated from Stanley High School. She attended college in Williston and earned her degrees in interior design and accounting.

She worked at the Trapper's Kettle in Williston as a cook for a time. She was once married to Patrick Gilbert and to that union two children were born, Mathew and Heather Gilbert. Julie raised her children in Williston where she worked at Mercy Hospital as a dietician. She also was assistant manager at Dakota Farms for several years.

Julie volunteered much of her time at the Bethel Home in Williston, assisting the elderly and providing baked goods and craft projects to the residents.

Survivors: Children, Heather and Mathew Gilbert, both of Williston; mother, Rose Mary Gustafson, Minot; father, Cyril Gustafson, Berthold; sisters, Teresa (Steve) Greeman, Deering, Carol Alvstad, Minot and Alice Falcon, Des Moines, IA; brothers, Randy (Kathy) Gustafson, Manchester, NH and Mike Gustafson, Minot. Julie was the godmother of her great-niece, Makiya Alvstad, who is the child of her niece, Holly Alvstad and several other nieces, nephews and great-nieces also survive; aunt, Julia (John) Durward, Minot, and uncle, Lester (Angie) Gustafson, Stanley, and several cousins survive.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, ND.

There will be no reviewal. Friends may sign the register Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the church.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
