Ruth Gunderjohn 1916 - 2005

Ruth Guderjohn, 88, Minot, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in a Minot nursing home.

Ruth was born August 26, 1916, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Borchert) Guderjohn. She was reared and educated in the Columbus area.

Ruth assisted her brother Hank with the operations of the farm. She moved to Minot in 1987. In 1988, Ruth entered Trinity Nursing Home, where she lived at the time of her death.

Ruth was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Larson, ND, where she was the organist. She taught Sunday school and bible school. Ruth was also active in the ladies aid. Ruth had a very creative mind. She would tell stories that took great imagination and children loved to hear them.

She had a green thumb, especially with pansies.

She is survived by: nieces: Diana (Robert) Harshberger, Minot, and Lorna (Jerry) Stillwell, Edmond, OK: nephew, William Guderjohn, Florida: sister-in-law, Leona Guderjohn, Minot: three great nieces, two great-great nephews and one great-great niece.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Marie, brothers, Erick, Hank, and Carl, and numerous infant brothers and sisters.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign a register book 1 hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.

Memorial Service: Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Burial: Private, later in the spring.
