Elizabeth Ann Guerard, 90 years, one month and 9 days, Fargo, ND, formerly of Carpio, Mohall and Minot, died Saturday, December 8, 2007, in a Fargo nursing home.

Elizabeth was born on October 29, 1917 in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota where she grew up. As a young woman she worked in the local grocery store. On February 25, 1946, at the age of 28, she married Leonard P. Guerard. They made their home in Red Lake Falls and were blessed with seven children: Joseph, Carolyn, Madonna, James, Mary Lou, Patricia and Melanie. In 1959, the family moved to Mahnomen, MN and eventually moved to Carpio, ND, Donnybrook, ND and then Mohall, ND. After Leonard's death in 1991, she moved to Minot and then to Fargo where she was a resident of Bethany Homes.

Elizabeth was a fantastic cook, loved sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, and made many baby blankets. She and Leonard played the fiddle and piano over the years for many dances and special occasions.

Survivors: Seven children, Joseph (Cathy) Guerard, Bismarck, ND, Carolyn (Ralph) Roggenbuck, West Fargo, Madonna (Roger) Eide, Tolley, ND, James (Joanne) Guerard Bismarck, ND, Mary Lou (Larry) Knutson, Donnybrook, ND, Patricia (Lyle) Winkler, Beulah, Melanie Guerard and her friend Lyle, Great Falls, MT; 23 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; brothers, Leonard, Louis, John and Anthony Schmitz; sisters, Lucille Desotel and Marilyn Newton, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Joseph, Sylvester, Vincent and David; sisters, Clarice Knott and Margaret Cuno.

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Our Lady of Grace, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Visitation: Tuesday, December 11, 2007, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
