Norma D. Greenwood 1929 - 2009

Norma D. Greenwood photoNorma D. Greenwood, 79, Minot, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 in a Minot nursing home. 

Norma Clementich was born December 24, 1929 in Burlington, ND, to George and Grace (Cross) Clementich.  She attended school in Burlington, and later Minot High School.  At a young age she worked at Trinity Hospital.

In 1947, Norma married Floyd Greenwood.  They lived in Minot and later moved to Portland, Oregon for a time.  They moved back to Minot and Norma began employment at Trinity Nursing Home as a dietician.  She worked there for numerous years until her retirement.  Her husband Floyd passed away on July 31, 2002.  Norma entered Trinity Homes three years ago, where she since had lived.

Those who shared in her life, daughter, Cheryl Knutson, Minot;  sons, Gary Greenwood, Florence, CO, and Steven Greenwood, Deadwood, SD; grandchildren, Jerry (Bonnie) Thomas, Todd Thomas, , Mandy and Dustin Slagle, Denise (John) Judant, Jessica Knutson, and Wyatt Knutson; great-grandchildren, Justin and Brianna Thomas, Paige Thomas and Zdenka Knutson; brothers, Hallie Clementich, Devils Lake, ND, and Alvin Clementich, Hawley, MN; numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents, George and Grace Clementich; brothers, Kenneth and George Clementich, Jr.; sister, Alice Sebo.

Funeral:  Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot. 

Visitation:  Saturday, one hour prior to the service in the church.

Burial:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
