Rich Green 19 - 2008 Richard W. Green was born June 15, 1950, a son of Allen and Annie Mae (Laster) Green in Baltimore, Maryland. He was raised there and graduated from Baltimore City College in 1968. Rich enlisted in the United States Air Force November 26, 1968. He proudly served his country and was stationed in Korea, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Fort Meade, Maryland, Okinawa, Japan, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, Holland, Italy, and finally in Minot, ND, in 1986. He retired from the US Air Force March 31, 1989. Rich married Judith K. Hinders February 5, 1972, in Dayton, Ohio. To this union, three children were born, Marc Christopher, Brian Jason, and Erica Marie. Following his discharge from the Air Force, he attended Minot State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcasting in 1993. He later worked at Choice Hotels, Target, and e Telecare. He was a member of the Souris River Officials Association. He had enjoyed umpiring softball games for over 20 years. He also enjoyed fishing and singing karaoke, but most of all loved spending time with his family. His loving family includes: wife of 36 years, Judi, Minot; children, Marc (Tammy) Green, Minot, Brian "B.J" (Amy) Green, Atlanta, GA, and Erica Green, Minot; grandchildren, Brandon Green, Brianna and Kayla Green, and Cooper Ann Green; sisters, Cecelia (Lee) McLeod and Catherine Gordon, both of Baltimore, MD, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris and Urban Hinders, Kettering, OH; brothers-in-law, Rod (Laura) Hinders, Troy, OH, Brian (Diane) Hinders, Bellbrook, OH, Kevin (Mary) Hinders, Champaign, IL; sister-in-law, Anita Hinders (Bob Pivetta), Arlington, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rich was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Laila Marie Green; brother, Allen Green, Jr., and brother-in-law, Cliff Gordon. Funeral: Friday, August 15, 2008, at noon at Minot
