Diana Granstrom 1943 - 2004

Diana Granstrom PhotoDiana Granstrom, 61, 605 First Ave. SE, Minot, ND, died Monday, November 8, 2004 in a Minot Hospital.

Diana was born on February 12, 1943 in Britton, South Dakota, the daughter of Wesley and Mabel (Johanson) Moore. The family lived in the Cogswell, North Dakota area and Diana was raised in Cogswell, ND and was active in 4H there. She raised and showed many champion Angus cattle and in 1963, she was ND Angus Queen. She graduated from cosmetology school in Bismarck and worked at Brooks Beauty Shop in Minot for several years. On August 30, 1964 at Cogswell, ND, she married, Gust Orland Granstrom. They lived in Minot and she managed a number of rental properties in Minot for many years until her retirement. Her husband, Gust died on June 8, 1998.

She enjoyed gardening, drawing, painting and creating pop culture sculptures. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.

Survivors: daughter, Kay Cameron and her husband, Steven, Minot; two grandchildren, Amanda and Kristine Jewell, Minot; mother, Mabel Moore, Oaks, ND; sisters, Donna Peterson and her husband, Mike, Fargo and Denise Dockter and her husband, Dennis, Cogswell, ND. She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley and her husband, Gust.

Memorial Service: Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Interment will be private.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign a register book on Friday, November 12, 2004 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
