LuElla S. Grabau 1944 - 2005

LuElla S. Grabau, 60, #13 Third Ave. SW. Apt. 101, Minot, formerly of the Wishek, Lehr areas, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at her residence.

LuElla was born on August 26, 1944 in Lehr, ND, the daughter of John and Marha (Becker) Grabau. She was raised in Lehr and lived in Grafton, Jamestown and Minot, ND.

LuElla graduated from the Minot Vocational Workshop program. She was also a very active and faithful member of First Lutheran Church in Minot and attended the adult education classes there. She was a member of the First Lutheran Women and peeled potatoes for the First Lutheran Fair Stand at the North Dakota State Fair. She worked the kitchen at First Lutheran for the funeral lunches and also embroidered dish towels for the First Lutheran Church Bazaar and the altar guild." "She was very handy at making crafts and embroidery; in fact, she made a countless number of dish towels with the names of pastor's wives or other people who helped her; she often gave these towels to them as gifts." LuElla could always be found talking to someone about her embroidery and asking how to make a certain pattern and what color to make it in.

Survivors: brother, Eugene (Marlene) Grabau, Las Vegas, Nevada, one niece, two nephews and six great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral: Monday, February 14, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Minot, ND

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND

Visitation: Sunday, from noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.
