Fern Elizabeth Paige Goodman
• 1909 - 2005 Fern Elizabeth Paige Goodman, 87, Minot, died Monday, October 31, 2005, in a Minot nursing home. Fern was born on December 16, 1917, in Wager Township, McHenry County, ND, the daughter of Clyde and Ethel (Wager) Paige. She attended school in Denbigh, ND. As a young girl she worked at the Forestry at Towner, ND. On June 19, 1940, at Towner, ND, she married Kris Goodman and the couple farmed near Bantry until 1968. In 1952, they moved to Minot and divided their time between Minot and Bantry. Kris was killed in a car-train accident on April 11, 1976, in Minot. Fern continued to live in Minot until the time of her death. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Minot. Survivors include her children, Larry (Diana) Goodman, Minot and Lana (Bill) O'Brien, Fairfield, ND; six grandchildren, Todd Goodman, Kris (Jennifer) Goodman, Shannon (Christopher) Goodman-Alexander, Shilo (Jenny) O'Brien, Tatum (Jake) O'Brien-Lindbo, McKenzie O'Brien; sisters, Violet Johnson, Thiensville, WI, Mavis Iverson, New Hope, MN and Mary Lou (Vernie) Peterson, Princeton, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kris, parents, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral Service: Saturday, November 5, 2005, at 10 a.m. Christ Lutheran Church, Minot. Visitation: Friday, November 4, 2005, from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Sunset Memorial Garden, Minot. Memorials preferred to Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.
