GERALDINE (GERRY) GOEBEL
June 9, 1928 - November 9, 2011

Gerry Goebel, 82, of Minot, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at a Minot hospital with her loving family at her side.

Gerry was born June 9, 1929 on her family’s farm south of Butte, ND to Philip and Elizabeth Fedorenko. She attended school in Butte, and was a graduate Minot State Business College.

On June 2, 1951 she married her soulmate Francis Goebel of Foxholm, ND. The couple moved to Helena, MT, where they had their first daughter, Diane in 1952. In 1958, the couple returned to Minot and had their second daughter Lynn, in 1959. Gerry worked at Manorcare, formerly the Americanna, as a Bookkeeper, where she was honored as Employee of the Year and received a Certificate of Excellence. Gerry retired from Manorcare after twenty-five years of service. In their retirement the couple wintered in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Gerry enjoyed exercise, traveling with Fritz and their Airstream, spending time with her sister, and dining with family and friends. She will be remember as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be misses immensely by all whose life she touched.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Elizabeth Fedorenko, and her brother Raymond Fedorenko.

She is survived by : her husband Francis (Fritz) Goebel of Minot, daughter Diane (Bill) Robertson of Laurel, MT, daughter Lynn (Terry) Jehlicka, Minot, grandaughter Nichole (Tony) Kvigne-Fugleberg, Minot, and sister Beatrice Nelson, Velva, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Sunday, November 13th , from noon to 5 p.m., in Thompson- Larson funeral home, Minot.

Private Graveside Service to be held Monday.
