Gladys Godejohn, 51, Portal, ND, died Tuesday, July 08, 2008 in her home.

Gladys was born on October 31, 1956, the daughter of Lavern and Jewell (Edenloff) Johnson, in Williston, ND. She was raised and educated in Williston. She transferred with the Job Corps to Washington, where she went to cooking school. She returned to Williston, where she worked for the City Laundry.

On September 28, 1984, she was united in marriage to Cary Godejohn in Stanley, ND. They made their home in Flaxton where Gladys was a homemaker. They later moved to Portal, ND, where she was living at the time of her death.

She enjoyed working with puzzles, computers, playing bingo, and spending time on the phone with her family members.

Brothers: Lloyd C. (Donna) Johnson, Makato, KS, Marvin (Kathy) Johnson, Fargo, ND;
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, children Darla May and James Allen, and brothers Andrew and Arnold.

Visitation: Saturday, July 12, 2008 one hour prior to service time at the church.

Funeral Service: Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Flaxton, ND

Burial: Flaxton Cemetery, Flaxton, ND.
