Patricia Glasoe • 1927 - 2007

Patricia Glasoe, 80, 800 16th Ave. SE #68, Minot, ND, formerly of Bottineau, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in a Minot nursing home.

Patricia Arabelle Phillippe was born February 1, 1927, the daughter of Joe and Ida (Gorder) Phillippe in Landa, ND. Her mother passed away when Pat was 1 ½ years old. She was raised by her grandmother, Johanna Gorder, in Landa, and later in Noonan, ND. She attended schools in Noonan, and graduated from Noonan High School in 1945. She then attended the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, where she was accepted into the nursing program.

Pat was married to Merle Glasoe August 1, 1948, in Noonan, ND. They made their home on a farm near Wildrose, ND. Together they farmed and raised livestock. In 1978, they moved to Bottineau, ND, where she was employed by Trutnas Department Store for a number of years. In March of 2006, they moved to Minot and resided at Edgewood Vista.

She was a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Noonan, and was currently a member of First Lutheran Church, Bottineau.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, cooking, bingo and spending time with her family. She was a hardworking, loving wife and mother. Her children were the love of her life. She was very adamant about teaching the golden rule to her children and making sure that they followed it in their lives.

Her loving family includes: husband of 58 years, Merle, Minot; children, Randy Glasoe, Burlington, Greg (Ollie) Glasoe, Minot, Mike (Cheryl) Glasoe, West Fargo, Lee (Gina) Glasoe, Sioux Falls, SD, Peggy (Mike) Getzloff, Fargo, and Julie (Joe) Uriell, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Mikkel (Eric) Morgan, and Scott Glasoe; Daniel, and Aaron (Sarah) Glasoe; Graham Glasoe; Taylor, Haley, and Maggie Glasoe; Carson and Casey Getzloff; and Micaela and Brandon Uriell; great-grandchild, Hayden Glasoe; sisters, Virginia Eide, Bakersfield, CA, Norma (Richard) Vock, Green Valley, AZ; and Betty Wendschlag, Minot; brothers, Jack (Jean) Phillippe, Sioux Falls, SD, and Jerry (Marilyn) Phillippe, Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Glasoe.

Funeral: Friday, April 27, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington, ND.

Interment: Burlington Township Cemetery, Burlington, ND.

Visitation: Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Prayer Service: Thursday at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
