Ollie Glasoe, 59, Minot, ND, passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Olive Marie "Ollie" Falkanger was born February 1, 1950, a daughter of Raymond and Josie (Christianson) Falkanger, in Williston, ND. When Ollie was about two months old, her father, Raymond, passed away. Ollie's mother, Josie, was later remarried to Glenn Helling and together they raised Ollie in Alexander, ND. Ollie was educated in Alexander and graduated from Alexander High School.

Following her high school graduation she attended UND Williston for a couple of years before transferring to Minot State College where she received her B.S. Degree in Accounting and Business Management.

Ollie married Greg Glasoe December 19, 1970, in Alexander, ND. They made their home in Minot, where Ollie was employed by Union National Bank and later, First Computer, before beginning her employment with Verendrye Electric Co-op in 1975. Ollie recently celebrated her retirement after 33 years of service with Verendrye.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, where she had taught Sunday school and was a member of its altar society. She was also a member of the Dakota Trailblazers Snowmobile Club where she was recently elected as president for the 2009-2010 year.

Ollie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, Bryce and Tyler. She also enjoyed spending time at their Rice Lake cabin while the kids were growing up and was looking forward to retiring at their new home on Lake Metigoshe. Ollie loved to spend time on the pontoon relaxing and visiting friends. She also enjoyed snowmobiling, taking photos, and shopping. She also loved to attend NASCAR races to cheer on her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.

Those who knew Ollie were blessed, as she was a happy go-lucky soul who always put everyone's needs above her own. You couldn't help but smile when around her because of her contagious laugh. She treated her friends as family and treasured all of their adventures.
