Betty Jane Gibbs 19- 2006 Betty Jane was born on September 27, 1925, the daughter of Warnie and Ethel (Philbrook) Cargo in Bantry, ND. She was reared and educated in the Bantry area, graduating from Bantry High School in 1943. She went on to earn her teaching certificate and taught for two years in a country school near Willow City, ND. On November 19, 1944, Betty Jane married Cecil V. Gibbs in
Bantry, ND. Following their marriage, they moved to Minot where
Cecil worked as a grain inspector. His work led them to several
cities throughout North Dakota, including Edmunds, Galesburg, Betty Jane was a member of Vincent Methodist Church and was active in ladies groups. She was always proud of her involvement with Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star. Betty Jane dearly loved her family and enjoyed baking. She was well known for her delicious cookies and caramel rolls. Her hobbies included taking long walks, gardening, dancing, embroidery, curling, visiting, making new friends and reading her Bible. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by: Children: Arlo (Julie) Gibbs, Las
