Kathleen Gergen 1918- 2006 Kathleen was born on September 17, 1918, the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth (Reueter) Gergen in Underwood, ND. She was reared and educated in the Underwood area. She attended the St. Alexis School of Nursing in Bismarck. Kathleen worked as a nurse at the army hospital in Camp Pendleton, Oregon, during World War II. After the war, she returned to Minot and worked as an office nurse for Dr. O.S. Uthus for over 35 years, until his retirement. Following Kathleen's retirement, she spent her time caring for many of her beloved nieces and nephews. In 1997, she became seriously ill and lived with her brother Raymond and his wife Annette, until her death. Kathleen held a very special place in the hearts of nieces and nephews and their children because of her tireless devotion to all of them. She will always be remembered with great love. Kathleen was a member of St. Michael's Ukranian Catholic Church, where she was very active in the ladies organization and the choir. She is survived by: Brothers: Cletus Gergen, Chandler, AZ; Raymond (Annette) Gergen, Minot, ND; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Sylvester and Damian and an infant sister. Visitation: Sunday, June 11, 2006 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Vigil Prayer Service: Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 2:oo p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
