Pat Gathman 1941 - 2007 Patricia Louise Goebel was born September 30, 1941, the daughter of Martin and Alice (Togstad) Goebel in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Des Lacs, ND. In 1959, she graduated from Des Lacs High School. Pat married George Gathman July 3, 1965, in Des Lacs. They made their home in Des Lacs, where she worked as a Black Jack dealer for the Burlington Recreation Commission, sold Avon and Home Interior, was a secretary for Father Dukart at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Foxholm. She most recently worked for Choice Hotels in Minot. She retired from Choice Hotels in 2004. In 1983, they built a home near Des Lacs and have resided there since. Pat was a former member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Des Lacs, and its Altar Society. She was currently a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot, and its Confraternity of Christian Mothers group. She enjoyed fishing, reading, collecting angels, playing bingo and playing cards with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching their wrestling matches and dance performances. George and Pat also enjoyed watching area basketball games. Surviving family includes: husband of 41 years, George, Des Lacs; daughters, Lori (Dan) Ruby, Minot, and Cindy Deaver and her special friend, Chad Jensen, Williston; son, Mark (Melissa) Gathman, Minot; grandchildren, Trina Ruby and her fiancé, Dustin Holter, Paul, Brian, Joe, Jason, Matthew, Kathrine, Marissa, Jacob and David Ruby; McKay, Faith, Lilly and Luke Gathman; and Shelbey, Becky, and Breanna Deaver; great-grandsons, Wyatt Holter and Lane Holter; sister, Karen Wahus, Ryder, ND; brothers, Leon Goebel, Des Lacs, and Duane (Maryann) Togstad, Peoria, AZ; a very special cousin, Rachel Axness, and her family; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Alice Goebel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ted and Bernice Gathman; and sister-in-law, Kathy Mosser. Funeral: Monday, June 25, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at St.
